BEST WESTERN Paris Gare Saint Lazare

The Opéra Garnier is one of the most beautiful monuments in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Inaugurated in 1875, this architectural wonder of Charles Garnier is one of the transformations in Paris initiated under Napoleon III and Baron Haussmann.
The building today is classified as a historical monument thanks to its beautiful façades, sculptures and ceremonial staircase. Known for its blue-green dome, it illuminates Paris with its various ballets, musicals and operas.
Built in the 19th century, under Napoleon I, Madeleine Church is known for its neo-classic style and Roman columns.
This place quickly became the birthplace of French pastry cooking, with the grand opening of Fauchon and Hediard shops.  Also Ladurée and its famous macarons are just a few steps away. So many things to taste and enjoy during teatime!
The central point of western Paris with its train and metro traffic, the Gare Saint-Lazare was the first train station built in Ile de France, constructed in 1837. The painter Claude Monet used it as a theme in one of his series of paintings.
The boulevard Haussmann is primarily known for its department stores (Printemps and Galeries Lafayette), the ultimate place for shopping.
Their façades are subject to regular exhibitions, especially during the holiday season when the two retail chains compete for ingenuity and creativity.
Many tourists enjoy the magnificent view of Paris on the store terraces.
A former independent town and highest point of Paris, Montmartre is famous for the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, an important religious site in Paris.
While taking a stroll, you will most certainly discover the vines of Montmartre or recognize Le Café de 2 Moulins, a café made famous by the movie Amélie ("Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain").
Near the BEST WESTERN Paris Gare Saint Lazare, discover the lively and popular districts of Paris or the capital's small hidden backstreets.
